Hi All!! It's been a while since For Fun and Fancy has been updated. I don't get a lot of time these days to sew except for my own children occasionally! Anyway, I wanted to let you all know about an upcoming Fundraising event I am helping to organise! We are raising money for The McGrath Foundation during breast Cancer Awareness month! We are hosting an ALL GIRLS, ALL AGES, ALL WEATHER indoor Carnival Funday! There will be a jumping castle, face painting, carnival games, afternoon tea and boutique Market stalls! Some new things and a giveaway prize!

Once again I would like to thank all who joined in with my Giveaway!
Life is really hectic for me now! I work 4 days a week, care for my 3 children (when I am not at work) try and run a household (note the word try) and also like to keep up with my sewing hobby!! So it has taken me a little while but I have finally finished Shell's prize!! She requested a Dr Suess skirt for her little miss to enjoy! I hope you like it Shell...


My new collection of "Fancy Pants" are proving to be quite popular. I sold most pairs at the last Handmade Expo I attended and have done a few custom orders also! I designed theses pants when I wasn't sure what to do with all my fat quarters!! Most of the pants I am making are one of a kind designs and I am unable to reproduce two pairs exactly the same, which means your little princess gets her very own unique pair of fancy pants!!

Lessons from a crazy sewing lady!!!

Swift Jim gave me all his old "fat" jeans to repurpose into new things to sell at the markets and my online shop. So tonight I got busy making some funky wrist cuffs.
After a couple of hours worth of sewing, and seriously offending my sewing machine in the meantime (I broke the needle, then it decided to sew backwards!!) I was quite happy with the results of my evening's work.....

That was until I started packing up. As I started to fold the jeans up to put away for further repurposing I looked at the pockets and thought to myself... "Gee they are girly pockets".... HANG ON!!! They ARE girly pockets!!!! THEY ARE MY JEANS!!!!!


NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
My nice jeans gone :( I sure hope those wrist cuffs sell at the market on the weekend!!! Maybe I need to label them "designer"?
